He uses the term 'marinading' light to describe how light and its surroundings affect each other. Flashes can be used as key or fill lights, depending on the power setting you use, and Stephani concludes his workshop by showing you how to combine a strobe with a diffused speedlight.

This video demonstrates the flicker effects that make capturing sharp images at long focal lengths so tricky. The severity of the effect depends on the subject distance, the focal length of the lens/telescope and the prevailing weather conditions. The video was captured using a 900mm refracting telescope.
