Jamel Shabazz - Visual Medicine

In this FotoTV interview, Jamel Shabazz talks about the crack epidemic in Brooklyn in the early 1980s and his strong desire to educate people about the dangers of drugs. He recounts how his father taught him to use a camera and tells us about his time with the correction department, which motivated him to use photography as a visual medicine to help people in prison and on the street to think for themselves and gain new hope.
